Nothing new has happened in recent past.
Here is what I have been getting when I attempt to login.
I was on a live chat 01/09/2024 for nearly 30 minutes to no avail. I know this is not my issue alone as I have seen the post of people that are "shut ins" having the same issue.
This is unacceptable and will move consumers to other retailers very quickly, my # is unavailable since I cannot login to retrieve it from the site but with my email/phone you can.

User's recommendation: No need to call Safeway as I did and after 20/30 min. with a tep he suggested sending me a password reset code# I did reset and log in was done. However I ask him to stay with me until Ilog off and back on. I did and got the same error and was unable to login. He said he would escalate our problem/issue.
MAJOR COMPLAINT REGARDING SEAFOOD COUNTER
I live in Hercules, California, where a large modern Safeway was constructed several years ago. Since the store was opened, the customer service at the fish counter has been abysmal.
On numerous occasions between the hours of 6 to 7 pm, I have visited to store to purchase seafood. Unfortunately, I've been confronted by a handwritten sign indicating no service for at least one hour. As a result, the station is completely unattended as customers mill around, grumble about the lack of service. Today, I left the store and drove to Lucky's supermarket, where the service was quick and efficient.
As a result, Safeway will continue to lose sales, while in its wake, confidence in Safeway will continue to erode, while customers wait for long periods, and continue to complain because of frustration. A discussion with a customer service agent didn't help, or did he provide an apology for substandard customer service.
I will not recommend Safeway to any of my neighbors. Customers are angry and frustrated with Safeway, avoid the seafood counters and SHUT IT DOWN!

Harassment/Stereotyped
Went to the safeway store 1143 in seattle off 15th ave Nw to do some grocery shopping. Afterwards, I went to the self service kiosks to checkout.
While doing that, the safeway employee there (not sure of her name but looked asian) came and grabbed one of the items from the deli I had already scanned and proceeded to scan it herself and realized I had already scanned it. When I asked her why she was doing that she said it was because some people do not scan it properly. That's when it dawned on me I had just been profiled. I confronted her to tell her I felt harassed and embarrassed by her actions.
Another male employee (don't know his name but had piercing and large ear rings in his ears) responded to me when I said I will not be shopping there again, "That's fine. You don't have to." If they are so concerned about people not scanning their items, they should open up the cashier checkouts, close down the self service stations and scan everything themselves instead of subjecting people to such harassment and embarrassment.If

Hello I still have not received my refund of 144usd my online order was placed on October 24 2023 and I was charged around 200 dollers for a delivery that only delivered less then half of my order I have been told several times 7 days 7 days 48 hours etc all to which weeks have gone by and I continue to contact customer service and am told my refund will be processed yet i have not received anything this is unacceptable and outrageous I am very frustrated by this service and situation and I want my money back immediately I should not have to wait any longer as Safeway did not hesitate to take my funds when agreeing to deliver said items hence there should be absolutely no hesitation in returning my funds immediately after verifying that the items were not delivered as agreed if this matter isnt resolved immediately I will take appropriate action to recover my funds in addition to any other related fees inquired due to this ongoing conflict thank you

Employees, especially Tory, in self-serve checkout, are not trained to handle anything out of the ordinary. Your Customer Service Dept. very seldom has anyone working.
Tried to use self checkout. The scanner indicated it had read my Safeway membership card.
After scanning all groceries I saw there were no discounts, I asked Tory where the discounts were, she replied they show up on the receipt after payment. No discounts appeared on my receipt. I asked Tory to contact Manager, she was displeased that this would take her away from her flirting with the security guard. Tory insisted I take my receipt and groceries to one of the checkouts.
The checker couldn't figure out what to do so he called the manager. The manager finally resolved the problem. Your 51st & Broadway store needs lots of help not only with its unskilled employees but with lack of shopping carts, lack of knowledge, prison like atmosphere.
It should not be difficult to food shop. Can't give proof of purchase because once problem resolved I was never given a receipt!

From the get go I never received a call from her. I was told she would call me within 24 hours of my accident but I was the one who had to call her bc I had never heard anything from her.
Then when I did finally speak with her, she was very short and did not explain anything. I was having trouble getting a rental car bc the company need to know what the rates were for Safeway. When I told her, she said that they didn't speak with rental company's bc it was reimbursed. I told her they still needed to speak with them to make a reservation.
It didn't matter that I was paying out of pocket. She said that she didn't know what to tell me and that she didn't do that. Then when they received the body shop estimate, which was 7000.oo, she said I was getting a Check for 4300.oo and that was it. She made me think that my car was not going to be fixed bc she did not feel the need to explain that the bodyshop got a separate check.
After the car was placed into the shop. This was the worst experience I have EVER had with an insurance company. If it were not for another man, Richard, I would not have been explained anything nor been able to get a rental. He basically is the one who handled my case right.
Not her. She needs to take some classes about people communication or let go all together. Again worst experience ever when I was already going through the emotional stress of having a wreck in the first place.
ALL I CAN SAY IS I WILL BE CHANGING COMPANIES AND MRS. PENDELTON...DO BETTER!

Avoid Safeway? Nah.
You sound like the type that will be back tomorrow between 6-7pm when the seafood department has that sign up. Then you can go to Lucky’s, go home , call the store, they won’t care, call corporate, leave a message.
This way you can stay mad and cling to that anger. You are never gonna give that up.
